At Lansby, we teach mission-driven organizations to think clearly about AI before they act on it.
What working with Lansby looks like.
You don't need to understand AI to know your organization needs an aligned policy. You just need someone to walk in, sit down, and help you figure out where you actually stand — in a way that holds up in the next board meeting, not just on paper.
That's what we do. We come to you. We sit with your leadership team, ask the questions nobody else has asked yet, and help you land on an actionable position for AI that fits your mission. No overwhelm, no jargon. Just two people who've spent their careers exactly where clarity mattered, holding your hand through the part that currently keeps you up at night.
Step 1 — Start with The Executive Position
Every engagement begins the same way: a conversation about where your organization actually stands, and where the pressure is really coming from. There's no menu to choose from at the start, and no guessing which service fits.
The Executive Position is the entry point for everyone, and it's where we figure out together what you need.
Step 2 — We diagnose and then we build
We work directly with your leadership team through interviews, staff listening, and a review of how AI is already being used in order to find exactly where your organization's position is unclear, unstated, or quietly inconsistent. That work becomes your Judgment Gap Report.
From there, we build the actual position: the policy, language, and decisions that close the gap.
Step 3 — You walk into the room ready
The next time your board asks a hard question, or a funder wants to know how you're thinking about this, you have the words ready when you need them.
You leave with the full written position: principles, risk tolerance, what requires oversight, what stays outside the boundary. Defensible when someone questions it. Actionable when someone needs to carry it into the rest of the organization.
A position you can speak from, and one that staff can work within.
Step 4 — We go where you need us next
Once your organization has a position, the next question is usually who else needs to understand it.
We work directly with donor relations, marketing and communications, and frontline staff — translating your position into training, workflows, and policy each team can actually use
